Presidents' Letter

Dear Members and Friends:

The LWV-SH is a place to bring your curiosity about what is happening in our City, County and beyond.
How is the City spending your tax dollars?  What is our library doing to meet demands for new technology?  What is happening with the Horseshoe Lake improvements?  When will my street be resurfaced?  Do we need a new school levy or not?   What’s all the buzz about “regionalism.”  How do I decide which candidate represents what I think is important?

Ask the questions, do the homework, know & share the facts and take action.  This is the process the LWV is most famous for and continues to be the process that transforms our members into leaders and our communities into more vibrant participatory democracies.

Local League members decide and guide our process as we educate, advocate, and participate.  Begin or continue to make a difference at the local, state and national levels with your new membership or renewal .   Your questions are important—come and find the answers together.

In League,

Julianna Johnston Senturia
President
